   Vira Manko is from Lviv. She was born in 1956. Her education is in
   printing but she is a real master of pysanka. 
   Vira Manko thinks that her duty is to preserve authentic folk
   pysanka  and to pass her knowledge to the students.
   The aim of these books is to present pysanka and its connection
   with the ancient history. Special attention is given to symbols in
   pysanka ornamenst as everlasting code of the nation.
   The author thinks that these symbols are very valuable for further
   researchers and need to be preserved.
   Practical instructions are also given in the books.
   And if somebody makes her own pysanka after reading these
   books  the tradition will continue....

CASTLES AND FORTRESSES OF UKRAINE

  The book gives description of 55 most famous fortresses and castles of Ukraine. Since this is a picture album with notes
  on castles' historical background, rather than a tourist guide or scientific reference manual, the entries are arranged
