Invitation for new articles, documents, book reviews, archival material
ANNOUNCEMENT AND INVITATION TO SUBMIT
Kyiv, Ukraine..February 6, 2003...ArtUkraine.com...In the fall of
2003, the CANADIAN-AMERICA SLAVIC STUDIES, published by
Charles Schlacks, Jr., will issue a special edition of the journal to
commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Ukrainian Famine (Holodomor),
The SLAVIC STUDIES journal is interested in finding and publishing
new articles, academic papers, documents, book reviews, and other archival
materials related to the tragic 1932-1933 Ukrainian Famine-Holodomor.
The Canadian-American Slavic Studies publishes in Ukrainian,
Russian, English, French, or German so submissions can be accepted in any
of those languages. Interested persons from around the world are invited and
encouraged to participate. It is especially important to have submissions
directly from persons in Ukraine who were not allowed to write and submit
such documents during the Soviet Ukraine period.
The invitation for submissions is open to anyone who has credible
and reliable material to submit such as graduate students, professors,
independent scholars, researchers, archivists, historians and those with
personal knowledge of the famine. Please submit graduate papers with a
letter of recommendation from the relevant professor stating how the paper
contributes to the historiography of the great Ukrainian Famine.
Please use the Chicago Manual of Style. All citations should be
placed at the bottom of the pages, not as endnotes. All book citations
should include the publishers' names as well as the place and date of
The deadline for all submissions is June 30, 2003.
