Ukraine intends to achieve the world community's recognition of the
Holodomor in Ukraine as an act of genocide.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, journalists have been reported about it
by ambassador of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Natalia Zarudna.

In her words, an important factor in the official recognition of the
Ukrainian genocide by the international community would become the adoption
of the corresponding law by the Supreme Rada.
In her opinion, it is also necessary that the historical scientists,
archivists and lawyers prepare documents, which would "clearly prove in the
legislative sphere", why the Holodomor should be qualified as a genocide.
Then it will be possible to recognize the Holodomor in Ukraine as a genocide
in a special document.
According to N.Zarudna, the four stages of the negotiations with United
Nations on this question have shown that the question is extremely
important, and needs a detailed elaboration. "It should not be on an
emotional level, it should be a serious work of historical scientists,
lawyers, archivists, and diplomats, so that the Ukrainian Holodomor will be
qualified as a genocide either in the UN report, or in the Third Committee
of UN."
