KYIV - President Kuchma expressed his condolences to relatives, friends
and colleagues of famous historian and political scientist James Mace over
his untimely death.
"American James Mace was a true friend of Ukraine, who devoted his life to
exploring Ukrainian history. Ukrainian people appreciate his selfless
scientific and social activity aimed at revealing truth about the famine of
1932-1933 in Ukraine.
James Mace will be always remembered in our country," reads the message
of the Head of the State.
